I replaced the oil pump because it was leaking oil & I found a crack in the housing, hoping that would fix my issue. After I did, I still had the codes 34 & 77. I went through the test again.
- Voltage test - I get about 11 VDC with the oil pump harness connected and 29 VDC when the harness is unplugged. I got no voltage on pin 2 when oil pump test activated
- Static Test - I hear no clicking of the oil pump & no oil pumping when activated
- Resistance Test ~ 3 ohm from pin 23 of emm to pin 1 of Oil Pump harness
As far as code 77, I understand it is the Start Assist Circuit. I trying to figure everything I should test. But when I unplug the Oil Pump wiring harness, the code goes away.
Other things I notice is, Only light 3 & 4 are on with key on no matter if Oil pump harness is plugged in or not. Also last week when I had my software hooked up. I ran through some of the static testing and activated the low oil, Check Engine, No oil lights along with the tach. They all worked good. Tonight, when I tried it , none of the lights came on and the tach wouldn't move. THen I noticed the tach was pegged and stayed pegged even after I disconnected everything including battery. SO maybe I have a new issue or something more related.
I have found 4 other post about code 34 & 77 together and all 4 has led to faulty EMM. If that is what ends up the deal, should I send it off to have repaired or buy a new one. If I buy a new one, can I program it or do I have to have a dealer program it. I have the Powersport EVDiag software & the bootstrap cable
Also I'm assuming the no start issues is because I don't have 30 volts to activate the injectors
Any suggestions on what to check next? Thanks for all the help & This sight has been wonderful & really educational
