When I turn the key the 4 lights on my gauge light up and count down each one going out after a few seconds.  Now all of a sudden the check engine light does not light up when the key is turned on.   Any ideas why that would happen?

I had a small amount of oil dripping from the muffler, part 22.
I never noticed it before
At the bottom drain should this be open or is there a membrane or something in there?
I stuck something up there and felt something so just wanted to make sure something should be there or I need to clean it out?

That nipple on the bottom is a drain, it should be open.  There are baffles inside that you are likely hitting.

Thanks. I was just out there running it and getting ready to reassemble side covers. Feels soft like foam or like a filter membrane. Motor runs great.

On a side note. I removed VST return filter yesterday and was going to replace with new one but new one felt loose. I could easily pull it out with my fingers. I cleaned old one and it went back in tight. Not sure if this was normal but I don't think it should be able to move.
