Not sure what you are asking but that is the fuel pump and it sure sounds like it is sucking air and why from day 1 on your posts I have asked about fuel pressure and vacuum readings.

There are 2 different buzzing. One is fuel pump, making it's sound and then there is something else, which starts like a faulty computer fan. It grows up to different screams. Working engine sounds and acts normal all the way. No fault codes. For some reasons I believe it is more steering related - like there is a bubble of air in the system somewhere. I tried to add some oil through the steering column but it took only couple of drops (30mL).

I have asked dealer to check the vacuum and pressure at least twice. He has done it and it has been normal. As far as I know, these numbers have been presented to BRP regional office as well, prior to powerhead swapp.

BTW, please describe someone - how the power steering should act? I have tried all 3 settings and nothing seems to happen differently. Is it somehow speed dependent like active steering on BMW or is it changing number of rotations needed from port to starboard or can you just change lightness of your steering wheel?

PS. If you think I am just complaining- no, I really like the engine for all the different reasons. Economy, design etc. As I have heavily invested in to additional sound deadening of the hull, I can even live with additional noise and vibration caused by 2-stroke. But, I just want the engine to work as it should! To have confidence in it. Thank you for helping me out on this way.

The DPS different setting only change the feel over 4500RPM and you need to ask what the reading where-give us some numbers-not just normal and also take some photos and give us information on what steering system is fitted, that is helm and hoses and did they bled the system using a power purge or just manually.

Well. Update. Something electrical what was controlling trim and steering hydraulics was toasted. Finally it was replaced and next evening I found myselt about 100nm away - so, the road trip was started.

So - for now near 50h and 800nm are at the clock. Confidence is starting to come back.

I must ask, do you still have the boat, motor combo or did you "accidentally" lose it?[idea]

Personally I would contact another dealer because Evinrude is not one to drag you along this long.
