Hello all, I have a 2006 75hp which is programmed for and has exclusively used XD100.
I have an opportunity to purchase some XD50 at a very good price.
My question, is xd50 suitable to run in the engine with XD100 settings?

Thanks in advance,
Peter.

Hello again, I did some searching here and I've found the answer.

I'll be living with XD100 exclusively by the looks of things.

Mods, you can delete this post if you wish to prevent some clogging of the arteries.

It only takes a few minutes but a dealer can switch your engine's oil programming with his laptop and software to use the XD-50 along with any approved oil that you choose, including XD-100.

The answer to that you should find in a yellow sticker that should had been attached to your engine when it was program to XD100, the short answer is NO if you are going to run XD50 the EMM has to be program for that oil or a risk of serious engine damage is a possibility
