Low on rpm by atleast 1000rpm so thought I'd investige if my throttle was opening fully.

Attached is at rest
Full throttle
Full throttle looking at butterflies

They are not exactly at 90 degrees. Maybe 5 degrees off which I can get them to move to max open if I manually move the throttle cam,

Is that open enough?

Not a problem. Better troubleshoot cylinders, injectors, ignition, etc.

Thanks seahorse.

Re rigged by myself, + A new foot throttle and cables made me worry it was my fault. Revs off load fine and recently serviced and given clean bill of health so I'll start swapping props and playing with engine height.

Height is First!  Unless you have a 'bottomless well', of course.  Check this thread

Good luck,

Phil

Hi Phil. The engine is already quite high. Not checked av plate but prop is betweenn1-3" below pad by eyeballing it.

Engine temp is brilliant now after new water pump so I am considering going up a bit more but want to fit water pressure gauge first and I am drastically trying th research the concerns over running an L2 high

I have 3 props at the mo. 26 raker . 26 laser 2 and 25 rev4. Been running the raker. Fitted the rev4 yesterday but yet to test.

Grabbed a video today. Rev4 prop is great. Had the family on the boat so not been wot yet, but the holeshot is good me it hangs on really well. This video is running 25knots, but my trim tabs were fully down and I think it's confused the spray.

Is 25knots fast enough to assess engine height with the AV plate? Boat ran 60knots before re rig. However I have added some weight.
