I have a 2016 Lund 202 Pro V GL with a 300 HP G2 mounted, currently I have a RX4 20p on it and I am happy with everything but the top end - I expected it to have much better top end.  When I bought the boat used the motor was mounted way too low on the transom and was only reaching about 54 mph at 5400 RPM, I moved the motor up to the second to last hole from the bottom and now run 57-58 mph at 57-5800 RPM.  I have never experienced any cavitation.  I was thinking of trying a 22p Raker II but I am afraid I may lose traction in  rough water.  I know the boat/motor combo is uncommon but was hoping someone may have a suggestion or maybe tried the Raker on a glass Lund.

  • Boat Length: 20 ft. 2 in.
  • Beam Width: 102 in.
  • Chine Width: 87.5 in.
  • Transom Height: 25 in.
  • Standard Boat Weight (lbs): 2700 lb.
  • Fuel Tank Capacity: 60 gal.
  • 15HP ETEC Kicker
  • Bow Mount 36V Trolling Motor
  • Running weight 4000-4500 lbs.

Sorry I'm not familiar with your hull but if you want to hit 60Mph with grip at your current height I recommend going to a RX4 22" pitch.

According to Lund - the fiberglass GL hull is the same shape as the aluminum Pro V hull.

The 300 G2 is more commonly mounted on a Ranger 620 or similar 20' Ranger. Has anyone had experience propping a 300 G3 on a similar boat? Looking for opinions on 3 blade vs. 4 blade and different pitches.
