I'm looking at installing part 5008640 to send water psi to the EMM and on to my Garmin via N2k network. I've looked all over the engine case for a brass plug where the transducer mounts, but nothing is obvious. Can someone post a picture for where the transducer goes? And just basic Teflon tape around the threads is sufficient?

Thanks,

Their are two kits 5008300 and 5008640 you have the correct kit. These instructions show install for the 5008300 kit, its the same install for both kits. It shows a pic where the brass plug is on the 60° V models.

I would like to reinforce not to mount the transducer directly in the block, it needs to be mounted in a way to minimize the water getting into it and if it does that it will drain out.  If you dont the sensor will corrode and bring down the 5V system on the engine effecting all the sensors and EMM.  So make sure to follow the directions.

Thanks, PropNut. Seems straightforward. As for the engine harness connector, what color are the wires so I know if I'm connecting to the correct plug?
