I pulled the trigger on another skiff with a 10/20/2017 manufactured date etec 115.
Is that considered a 2017 or 2018 and does anybody know of any updates, changes major or minor done between my current 2008 motor.
I notice the cowling has changed.
I know the g2 series are very different.

It all goes by the exact Model and Serial Number off of the engine plate now.  Never try to get parts or advice without knowing those.

My "SU" Model was built in late '06, but it's a 2007.

These motors are warrantied and parts specific by model number ONLY.
NO date associations, there is a date of manufacture on the transom bracket but it is not used for anything in the retail world, only internal BRP

Dates and years mean nothing on the E-TECs since 2012, last model year used.

Minor changes since 2008.  Updates in injector internals and VST changes.

Different mid section and exhaust valve too. Pay close attention to the exhaust valve.

Thanks sh and dc,
Im glad to hear the injectors have upgrades seeing how the 2008 has had two failures the last few years.
