By the way, what is the thin wire (like a wire leader for toothy critters) that ran from one of the 4 screws that hold the motor on the the lift unit to the engine frame?  about 4 or 5 inches long.  Additional ground?  I have not hooked this up as yet.

It is a grounding strap to connect the trim unit to the engine "zinc" anodes since all tilt/trim unit physical connections are through nylon bushings.
