Recently my outboard service first time ever had the had computer print of the history of it read the persistent fault history print out from it

Engine Model E115DPXAAB serial no 5367829 current engine hours now is 472 hours this occur 20 hours engine running hours ago own from brand new over 6 years ago now

read the persistent fault history print out from it This come up of interest to me

fault code 38 oil pressures pulses not detected fault counts 10 counts Time of last occurrence 452 hours

And also come up again as a stored fault records 38 oil pressure pulse not detected of
occurrence counter 1 time between engine hours 452.05 - 452.05

Bit more further information from ECM freeze frame F1054,#38 oil pressure pulse not detected
Engine speed 375 RPM , battery volt
10.5 v , engine temp 81*F ,water pressure 0 PS
Have done some research on this site and come to conclusion believe it be of 2 things the low voltage in battery or the oil sensor
question is what the outboard mechanic is saying Oil pump comes with oil flow sensor and hoses can you just replace the oil sensor by itself Or not

Should be really more corcean an get all replaced the whole oil pump or not as was one off event

With no responses yet, I would say two things -

It looked like the motor was "just starting"  (temp = 81, and Water Pressure = 0) and yes, could be low battery there.

The Oil sensor I Believe can be replaced on its own, but with no problems in 20 hours, I would wait to see if it happens again.  May be just air in the oil lines.  Could "Maybe" be helped with 2 or 3 "Winterization" cycles, and "burping" the sensor of air.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for reply. Yep see how it goes given me bit confidant in outboard really no need to replace the oil pump and sensor.
