I am brand new to the etec world, but really like what I have seen of my 2015 E200DPX. I have a Kingfisher 1925 Flex Sport. It is an aluminum multi-species style hull. Between the hull, kicker, fuel, people and equipment, I figure it weighs in at about 2500 lbs, not including the 200 non-HO G1 Etec. I have only run it WOT for short periods as I am still within the break in period. I am certain I have the motor height correct. The best I have gotten out of it is 5200 RPM. It has a stock aluminum prop sized at 14.5 x 19. I am unable to work with my dealer on repropping as I bought the boat a considerable distance from home. I would like to get a stainless prop and after much reading on the topic, I think a 14.75 x 17 Viper may be a good choice. I am also curious about the Rebel props as I am not overly concerned with top end speed.. In order to run a Rebel, I figure I should be in the 15 pitch range, but I have not been able to find a 14.5. or 14.75 diameter in the Rebel line. If someone can point me in the direction of a starting point, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Hi Toobusy,
Download this excellent Propping Guide from Evinrude which not only gives you a guide to getting your engine height right but also has rpm and Prop selection guides.

The wind finally setttled down enough for a few hours so I could test my new prop. I went with a 14.75 x 17 Viper. The difference was remarkable. I did my best to replicate my original test conditions and I gained 600 RPM at WOT and am very pleased with the overall performance of my boat and motor. I am pretty confident I have the correct prop now.
