Well, that's the wife taken care of, when are you going to wash the boat? [tongue]

Congratulations-I'm going to be needing a new 150 for a repower in the next year or two. Any chance you shopped the price difference from a G1 to a G2? Sure would like to go with the G2, if the G2 price upgrade is not to great and if I can handle the extra weight.

The G1 Vs the G2 was not even close. For the G1, I was able to reusing my Rigging so only paid for labor to install and a few additional things $12K OTD. Several quotes G2 150 HO was closer to $20K with tax because I would need the power steering helm and all new rigging. Wasn’t able to justify getting a G2. Duskyonline has some sweet prices.

$8k for rigging and helm upgrade seems awfully expensive. The G1 150 is a great engine. Well done.

Rigging was $3800, labor $1900, hydraulic helm $1000 and motor was $12K

Limshady-Thanks for the pricing info. Boy the extra items needed on the G2 sure drive the price up. My last son graduates from college this May, so I will be getting a big pay raise [smile] Time to repower a 20' GulfCoast that has a blown 150 Johnson carb. model.

I just think it’s the NE pricing. I can’t wait to take my boat out, doing Spring prep now so hopefully in a few weeks. Not sure where you are but take a look at Duskyonline.com prices in Florida.

Congrats Phatraveler. I am super happy with the G1. Plenty giddy up, it's quieter than my older DI, over 3mpg at cruise so far and backed by a 10 year warranty.

Quick numbers update: Switched over to an Enertia 15x14 prop. Latest numbers with little less than 1/2 tank and myself 4050rpm 26.1mph and 3.51mpg 18.5 hours on motor
