Hello all, I am currently having a new G2 150HO hung on a boat.

Model# C150FXHABA Serial# 05534832 Manufacturing Code, JH

I have been reading the BRP Operators Guide for the AB series and am really confused about the manufacturing date of this motor.

From the guide:
Manufacturing Date A two-character code is used to indicate the month and year of manufacture, following the U.S. EPA model year naming convention. • The first character is the year. • The second character is the month (January=A, February = B, March = C, etc.).

Now, my interpretation of this, if the protocols for the first and second letter of the code, gives this motor a year date of "10"

Hopefully this interpretation is wrong.
Can someone please confirm/explain what the situation is.

Thanks in advance, Peter.

Easiest way of finding month and year produced, is to look on the compliance plate on the steering bracket. Have: model, serial and build date.
