Has anyone used this on there Etec motors. I was thinking of adding one once per six gallons of gas. Just wanted to check with the experts before using.

I will be pleased to participate in your survey regarding use of LUCAS LUC10013 Fuel Treatment with an E-TEC engine. My answer to your survey question is NO.

ASIDE: the only fuel treatment products I use with my Evinrude E-TEC are Evinrude-branded fuel treatment products. Principally I use Evinrude 2+4 fuel conditioner for preparing the fuel for long-term layup and storage.

EV-Diagnostic cables are back in stock.

They do make a marine fuel treatment. I was thinking of using it but was going to call them. They're usually very responsive

Team Shadow,

I will reply to your survey this way. The owners manual states the only additives to be used are those recommended by Evinrude!

My advice is use of other products or additives not recommended... may potentially cause you slick lawyer legal "stickey" & debatable warranty problems if something happens that can be connected to fuel system & related problems. At least while under warranty, I personally would not risk it. Engines and services are not cheap! And, we live in a very litigious world these days. I'd rather be conducting myself to the letter. Just to be on the safe side. But, if this is of no consequence... knock your socks off! I personally seldom take chances when it comes to these kinds of things.

Best regards,
Lakerider [smile]
