I recently purchased a 2011 225 Etec and it came with a dual BRP EST engine control.  I am only going to use a single motor so I am looking for a BRP EST motor control for this motor.  I can't seem to find any information anywhere. What am I missing?

ETec model E225DPZIID  S/N 05287960

dual engine controller that came with it: P/N 764910 S/N BC2741000007

Thanks in advance for your help.  - Smilar

Not sure what you are missing but we are missing what control you want, binnacle or concealed so without that info both are below:-

-Single binnacle:-0767053
-Concealed:-0767058

Sorry for being so vague.  What I meant by "what am I missing" is that I can't find any current information or availability on the web.  I suppose it is bc these parts have been discontinued?  Is the only chance of us being able to go EST is hoping that something used comes up on the web?  I guess it would look pretty silly to use this dual binnacle as a single but I may have to do that until I can find a single binnacle control.

But seriously,  I do need everything to make the system complete.  All I have is a motor set up for EST and nothing else.  This boat is a project flip so I only want to put minimal gauges.  The new owner can add on if they want.

Both the numbers I gave you are in stock in the US and dealers can easily source the ICON installtion and also troubleshooting guide. Contact Joe at Barnacle Bill's for pricing. If you have nothing but the engine it will be cheaper to revert back to mechanical controls like your engine left the factory with, again Joe is your man for the parts needed to do this.

All the individual parts, except the ignition switch with its custom wire harness assembly, are available As service replacement parts. Meaning even if you get all the other parts you will still be without a proper ignition switch to start the engine. Rigging kits which include the control, wiring, and the control are no longer available.

Recommend you follow Huey’s advice as he is spot on correct.

Thanks for your additional input and confirming Huey's suggestion.  I am curious about the Key switch you referenced.  Was there a reason those were discontinued?  What was the last P/N for them?

The wire harness connecting the ignition switch into ICON EST harness was custom and the supplier used by Evinrude just decided to stop making it. Volumes were too low after G2 was launched in 2014. The part came only in the rigging kit.

That is amazing that a part as important as that is just not available anymore.  I guess the only chance of ever getting one is if someone repowers and no longer needs the harness system.  Have you ever heard of someone replicating that special harness?  I suppose there isn't a schematic of it anywhere?

Lets go back to the beginning recommendations. Follow Hueys advice.
