Just bought a boat and motor and don't know where to get help. I was helped with my Etec 90 here and thought I would look for non Etec help from the oldtimers here. The motor in question is a 115 hp Evinrude Ocean Pro. It runs really good BUT no one seems to know the model or serial number or year it was built as the ( shown ) tag on it has worn out and is blank. Not sure if there is another place to find a serial number inside cowling or elsewhere. Hoping someone can tell me what year it is so I can at least order parts or water pump kit etc etc.  20200715_131348.jpg  20200715_133506.jpg  20200715_143321.jpg  20200715_151519.jpg  20200715_151621.jpg  20200715_151711.jpg  Plastic cover taken off.jpg

Only E-TECs here.

Try BlueWaterBill on Evinrude Corp. site.  He has access to all the oldie stuff.

Not much difference in the 60 degree V4's from back in the day. It will be mid to late 1990's and water pump kits will be the same so look up something around 1997. It does look like an X/L so be aware that runs a different gearbox and water pump to a L/S engine. Also the last picture shows a large gap between roller and pick-up. As mentioned this is for E-TEC so best to goto bassboatcentral.com, so very good guys over there and my advice would be to source a genuine service manual too. The rigging and way the control cables are run leaves a bit to desire.
