When I turn the key the 4 lights on my gauge light up and count down each one going out after a few seconds.  Now all of a sudden the check engine light does not light up when the key is turned on.   Any ideas why that would happen?

Likely SystemCheck gauge has become defective.  If the check engine lamp does not illuminate during the self-test process, it is no longer illuminating.

I have the engine connected to my NMEA and has shown errors before on my Garmin.  I assume with the light dead i will still get "check engine" errors on the Garmin.

A defective lamp on the SystemCheck will not alter any data on the NMEA 2000 network.
