Hello,

I have a question concerning the use of an external or remote oil tank on the G2 150HO.

Can the external oil tank be used as an alternative to the internal oil tank (i.e. leaving the internal tank empty), or is the external oil tank always used in addition to the internal tank, providing extra capacity?

Many thanks,

Tim

The engines oil pump consumes oil from the engine mounted tank. As oil level drops in the engine mounted tank, the EMM turns the pump for the boat mounted tank on and oil is transferred to the engine mounted tank.

The external oil tank can add extra capacity and/or provide an easier location to refill the oil in cases such as pontoon boats where it may be difficult to add oil to the engine.

That's great. Many thanks to both for answering my question. Tim
