Following up on my previous post, as ollypopper suggested I inspected the VST without removing the unit, I took the lower water line off and had fuel coming out of it after priming the ball. I ordered a new VST which is part number 5006063, they tell me that part number is superseded by 5010821 which is actually what I’m guessing a new style even as it’s a flat one piece unit. My question is has anyone tried mounting this new unit to the older model motor? I sent one back telling them they gave me the wrong part.. well they sent it again:: so maybe I’m the dumbie here?

What you received is the correct replacement pump.
I have installed several of them. There should be instructions with the pump to show how to route the new hoses.

The newer pump is an improved design and as Rick mentioned it should have installation instructions included.
