I recently bought a 2010 ETEC 225 (E225DPXISE) with one bad hole for a very good price. I need to convert it from a “XL” 25 inch engine to a “L” 20 inch engine (which I have done on carb motors). Is there anything special about the ETEC exhaust housings ? Aside from the funny lumps on the port side it looks basically the same as that from a carb engine (but I haven’t pulled the powerhead yet). Can I just use a carb motor Fastrack mid/exhaust setup ? Or anybody looking to do the reverse swap and want to trade parts ?
