My G2 is linked to my Lowrance HDS gen 3 and carbon graphs at the console. I am trying to edit the dashboard to make it less cluttered and just show rpms, trim and water pressure. When I try to use the Lowrance edit menu it won't let me make changes...it just bounces me out if I try to deselect any of the other gauges. Has anyone here figured out how to edit the dashboard with a G2?
Thanks

BILL--the problem you are reporting seem to be a problem in the Lowrance multi-function display. I don't quite see how you have made an inference that the Lowrance display would enter into an abnormal state because there is an Evinrude G2 engine on the NMEA-2000 network.

You could test your theory that the E-TEC G2 is affecting the Lowrance display by disconnecting the Lowrance multi-function display from the network while you try to edit its pages showing engine data. However, I don't think you will find any difference.

What you describe sounds like a problem in the Lowrance multi-function display or in your method of trying to edit its default configuration for engine data.

Thanks for the reply on this topic. Somehow I overlooked it.

My first guess is its dumb user error on my part. Your suggestion to try unhooking the network and then attempting to edit the screen is a good one.
Right now, if I enter the page to edit display info, the various info items like rpm, engine load, etc display and are checked.  It will not allow me to uncheck any of them.  If I try to uncheck it just returns me back to the main vessel screen.

Has anyone else been able to deselect any of the standard vessel readouts on their Lowrance unit?

Thanks
