Minimum CCA's should be in your Owner's Manual, but I just get the biggest, baddest one that will fit in the battery box/tray.  [wink]

Why worry about 'hitting the Min', when the extra oomph might be needed someday due to age, temps, etc?  I don't think you can get too many CCA's and Amp Hours as long as it's 12 V.

mrpee, the minimum cca is good starting point to go up from there, it really   depends on how you use your boat, and how much electronics, lights, bilge pumps and other stuff you have on board, I have three batteries on mine, 2 house and one cranking, electric juice is like rod holders you can never have too many.
