Just a dumb question to the community. I've been seeing E-3 plugs allover anything to do with drag racing. In the 70's when I drag raced, is where I learned the advantage of indexing plugs. Now dictated by BRP to index our plugs, does anyone have thoughts that these plugs might index easier or just hype?
Thanks for any responses.

Indexing them has nothing to do with why they do it on high performance items. It is to line them up with the deflector pin. Only use champion plugs in any Johnson or Evinrude product no matter what the age or type. Except the Johnson 4 strokes. They are NGK's.

Thanks Joe. Yes, I fully understand the orientation to the deflector pin. I seemed to have phrased my question incorrectly. Glad to know the E3 plugs are not an option.
