On the prop front - have a SOLAS Titan 4 SS right now which is 14.25x16 (modified by prop shop from 17 to 15 pitch). Maxing our at 5600ish with light load. I love this prop - wondering if I should order the 14.25x15 or should I drop diameter as well? Don’t want to drastically change things but would like to see it flex to 5900 easily. I could also try to take it back to prop shop and have them take some more pitch down but told SS props can’t be adjusted more then one inch on pitch.

Try a Solas Titan 3 blade in 15P.  E's Viper would not work well on a heavy deck boat.

Your boat is somewhat underpowered, rated for a V6 200hp.

Please put your motor model # and boat model in your signature so we don't have to go digging for it each time.

i really wanted to stick with 4 blade given the benefits of the current 4 blade I have. I'm going to check if local prop shop has a few of these in stock and do some trials. I noticed RubexHR4 (same as Titan HR4) available in 16P which may get the engine to 5800-5900 after a couple mods. I recall having tried the Titan HR4 15P and it broke past 6000 and wasn't very good cruising/tubing.

Somewhat limited on a V4 for prop picks.

A large blade surface area 3 blade with lots of trailing edge cupping will create similar hole shot characteristics to your 4 blade S.

Some suggestions to bring up WOT rpms

E. Stainless Steel SSP with TBX hub 3 large blades in 13P" and have a prop shop add tip end cupping to increase bow lift for fast hole shot and best top end speed, plus trailing edge cupping to dial in WOT rpms desired.

Or call PowerTech for a recommendation for your style of boat and use, they have a large selection of 3&4 blade props in the mid size outboard 4.25 LU

Tell them your WOT rpm needs.

Local marina has Solas/Rubex in stock and willing to let me trial props in the water. I'm going to try the Rubex HR4 in a 14x15p and the 14x16p. Really want to stay with four blade given we do a lot of tubing and water sports and the last three blades I tried didn't perform well.

Gents with my 25” 2012 130 HP what should i ideally prop for at WOT with just me in the boat. I hear varying opinions of 5700 and some say it should touch 6000 at light load? Repair manual states 5500-6000. Right now I can touch 5600 with light load and fully trimmed. Worth going for 6000?

2-300 rpm more would be good.

I am looking at the Turning Point Mach 4 Express in a 15x15 size. Anybody try one of these?

Yes, I tried several props and for the money can’t beat the Turning Point, plus they have a trade in program if you missed the pitch. The TP aluminum was way better than the original Evinrude prop, but I thought I could get more performance.  I liked then Evinrude Rogue, but was really $$$.  I settled for the Mach 4, 13.25 x 17 Stainless Steel.  Wot is 5900, speed is 39 mph, speed is limited since I have the S2 gear case, 2.36:1.  Tried the 19” and it was a dog.  Since I already had the hub, the prop was around $240.

I'm thinking the Mach 4 Express in 15x15p setup (atleast that is what Turning Points prop calculator recommended).  They talk about having vent holes and dual blade geometry. Is this dual blade geometry the real deal?

I'm curious how this prop would compare to my existing Solas HR4 Titan which is tweaked to 16p but RPMs still too low. Love handling and other characteristics on the Solas but hoping to get a bit more holeshot and top end RPMs. My only challenge since i'm in Canada i don't think the prop exchange program applies but Amazon.Ca has it listed so i'm sure i can return via Amazon and incur no shipping fees.

I don’t think the prop for your size gear case is the variable geometry, check the fine print.  I have the 115 HO and it is the smaller gear case, and the semi cleaver prop with all 4 blades the same.   FYI, I had years of bottom paint removed this spring, new barrier coat, and ablative coat, picked up 3 mph almost across the range.
