Yesterday I had an engine that I originally had on my personal boat come in due to water in the fuel. I haven't seen this engine since I sold it 4 years, 500 hours ago.
The repair history on this engine has been 1 tilt and trim relay.
Service history has been spark plugs and lower unit oil every 500 hours and a water pump every 800 hours.
I flushed the fuel system, decarboned with engine tuner, new spark plugs and gear oil change. Sent it back out for another few years of fishing.

Well, it's like I said in another topic,  there are literally thousands of E-Tecs  out there and on this forum we only hear about the few with a problem.  These are absolutely terrific motors!
