Felt I should rant about how bad these engine are.
2011 75 hp had #3 injector fail at 2250 hours!
Engine history, mostly run on regular pump gas (ethanol blend) with no fuel addative, service every 500 hours has been spark plugs and lower unit oil changes. Injector tips have been decarboned twice. Repair history has been one crank position sensor at 1200 hours, three water pump kits, and water in gas a couple of times.

Did the injector fail electrically, mechanically, or from debris or corrosion?

I can top trump that one mate. A 2010 90HP with 4,191:32:12 when I last saw it in May this year. No codes for open/shorted injectors and trust me she was not looked after well by the owner.

It's all these Gol' Durn E-Tec's, I think.  They Always fail for some reason!  Might need to switch to a 4-smoke.  [biggrin]

Bottom injector, clicks so likely clogged due to a few instances of water in fuel. I haven't pulled it apart yet.
You definitely have me beat with that one Craig!

You all have your heads in the sand. This 3 cyl may be the best evinrude ever made.

Look forward to picking up a used 3 cyl 115 G2 some day.

same for my  2005    3 cyl 75hp    14 years still runs smooth     basically.....some   issues  but  nothing critical  I am 70  so this likely my last rig unless I win the lottery :-)
