Hi,

Im going to be replacing my thermostats and was wondering if i need to buy new springs and  head seals or can i just buy the cap, thermostat, and o-ring? I'm just trying to save $40 if i don't need them.  Thanks

I would do the entire assembly. Just my opinion as I will be doing the same.

At a minimum you should replace the O rings, thermostats, and thermostat seals. I personally replace the the entire assembly. $40 dollars is not a lot of money to have peace of mind and to ensure proper operating temperatures.
