I'm getting some conflicting info on the props for these 2 great little
engines. Does a prop come standard with the 25 and 30 or is that an
extra cost item. I will most likely be buying an E30DTEL or E30DTL, to be used on a Lund SSV 16 which is a 16' Aluminum fishing boat 72" beam
about 350lbs with the 20" transom. If the prop is not standard any
advice would be helpful, most likely will just go aluminum 3 blade
I guess I will need 2 props 1 for here where I live in Colorado (5,280 FT)
elevation and one for when I use the boat at lower elevations like sea level
which I also do. Boat to be used just for fishing and river/lake cruising 2 possibly 3 people no towing of tubes I just want the best top end and
general usage props. Also is it a big deal to hook up a mounted tach to this engine to make sure my WOT is right.

                                                      Thankyou   Coastalguy

Props come with them but a good dealer will assist you in selecting the correct props for your needs.  Just don't beat him to death on pricing.

Hi, different parts of the world have different policies and here in OZ the 25/30HP come STD with an alloy prop in the box. Above that we fit SST props. I would guess you are the same and there will be a prop on the engine when unpacked, but as for the right one or best one that is another matter and considering where you are I think you are right and when at altitude a different prop maybe required.

As for the Tacho, here again we get a tacho in the engine box so you could/should also but either way you need a tacho not just for RPM, but more importantly, for the warnings and the dealer should know this.

Cheers,

Huey.
