Hi Mike, great shot mate and it looks like you look after your gear and with any thing mechanical that goes a long way to the pleasure of owing that bit of machinery. We get engines in here that are a few years old that look 20 years old and usually their cars are the same way- a bit of time spent looking after your stuff is worth it in my opinion.

Cheers,

Huey.

hi, I am new to this forum having sold out my Yammi four stoke for twin Etec 250's. right now they are sitting on the floor in my workshop waiting for the my dive boat to get finished.

so the engines are used, from a pilot boat in Tampa and have 500hrs on them. anything you recommend to watch out for?

thanks for your experience.

Thanks for the kind words. The hull is a 1994 by the way - great hull - solid.
That shot was looking off of Treasure Cay Beach in the Abacos - knock on wood me the Mrs. will be making our fifth trip there in a few months.

Nosneb69 - the motors have been essentially bullet proof. My best recommendation is take of them, and they will take care of you. And go support your local dealer. Good luck!

Mike

dont forget since yhe have been on there side im guessing on the ground.

you will need to prime the oil system to get the air out. i think this is for all etecs if they are taken from there vertical hang and put hrizontal.
